Adolescent Therapist (Independent Contractor)

About the Role

We are currently seeking an Adolescent Therapist who is a fully licensed mental health clinician in the state of Minnesota to join our team as an Independent Contractor. The ideal candidate will provide outpatient therapy services to children and families in a collaborative atmosphere. Sessions may be held in person at our Wayzata office or remotely via Telehealth, depending on client needs and therapist preference.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide individual therapy to children, and family therapy sessions as appropriate
•Assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions within scope of license and expertise
•Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
•Collaborate with caregivers, schools, and other professionals as needed
•Attend weekly team consultations (virtual or in-person)
•Uphold ethical and professional standards in accordance with state licensing boards


PAY:
Clinicians/Contractors (1099) are paid based on billable hours performed. Clinicians will receive 70% of the total amount reimbursed from Health Insurance Companies and clients (i.e.out-of-pocket fee for service, co-insurance, or co-pays). The reimbursement rate will increase to 75% of the total amount reimbursed for all sessions over 20 per week.

HOURS:
Schedules are flexible according to client and practitioner needs and may include nights and weekends if preferred but not required.

LOCATION:
Client sessions are held in the offices of Lakeshore Family Therapy or online via Telehealth from a confidential space in the clinician's Telehealth office.

Requirements

  • Must be fully licensed in Minnesota (LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, or LP)

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with children and families

  • Experience with trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated commitment to anti-oppressive, inclusive, and affirming clinical practices

  • Comfortable working independently while being open to team support and collaboration

  • Access to secure and confidential space for Telehealth sessions (if providing remote therapy)
