About Me
My approach in therapy is gentle yet direct and relationally focused.
My primary focus is creating a therapeutic relationship to facilitate change and healing to assist you in creating or rediscovering a sense of meaning and purpose in your life and relationships.
I specialize in and enjoy working with adults and families who have experienced the impacts of trauma and/or chemical dependency to assist in challenging old patterns of managing emotional distress and developing positive beliefs about the world and ourselves.
Melissa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth and her Master’s Degree from Argosy University Twin Cities. Melissa is a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC #02058) and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC #304619)) in the state of Minnesota.
